Our Story

Recycled Copper, Industrial Standards

Cambridge Hi-Fi Recycled Speaker Wires was founded to prove that recycled material can meet and exceed spec. We run an industrial process with transparent sourcing and data-backed performance.

From Scrap to Signal

We partnered with regional recyclers to reclaim copper that would otherwise sit idle. Our team then rebuilt the manufacturing flow—from refining to jacketing—around recycled feed. The result is a cable line that diverts waste and keeps performance identical to virgin copper products.

Builders, educators, and makers trust Cambridge Hi-Fi because we publish the data. Every batch ships with resistance tables, shielding specs, and sustainability metrics so you can justify the choice.

Process in Four Steps

  • Copper Sourcing

We collect post-industrial scrap from North American electrical manufacturers. Each batch is screened, sorted, and logged before refining.

  • Refining & Drawing

Copper is melted, filtered, and drawn into new OFC strands in our Tacoma facility. The process mirrors virgin production but with 87% recycled feedstock.

  • Insulation & Build

We pair recycled conductors with low-smoke jackets, braided shields, and compression connectors. Every product is batch-coded for traceability.

  • Testing & QA

Every spool and assembly passes impedance, resistance, and pull testing. Anything that misses spec is recycled again—nothing lands in the bin.

Lifetime Craftsmanship Warranty

Every Cambridge Hi-Fi cable carries our Lifetime Craftsmanship Warranty. We guarantee the quality and durability of our workmanship, including soldering, assembly, and material construction. If a covered defect or failure occurs at any time during the life of the product, we'll repair or replace it at no cost to you.

This warranty reflects our confidence in our industrial process and recycled copper quality. With a warranty claim rate of less than 1%, we build cables that last.
